know before you go

Please come to your appointment without any makeup and do your morning skincare as per usual.
It is best to do a light exfoliation 48 hours in advance, and a hydrating mask the night before.

Before Your Appointment
What to Wear:
Opt for dark, loose-fitting clothing—avoid leggings!
You can tan completely nude (great for beach vacations), in a bikini, or just in undies (the most popular choice).
Our tanning solution is water-soluble and won’t stain, but wearing dark colors is still recommended.
Body Prep:
Hair Removal: Wax at least 24 hours before or shave 12 hours prior to avoid darkened pores.
Exfoliation: The night before, thoroughly exfoliate your entire body. A loofah with body wash isn’t enough—use a body scrub and an exfoliating mitt (available for purchase in-studio).
No Lotions or Creams: Avoid applying any moisturizers, oils, or creams for at least 8 hours before your appointment.
Tan-Free Skin: Ensure your skin is completely free of any leftover tan from a previous session.
After Your Spray Tan
First Rinse:
Avoid moisture & water until your recommended rinse time:
Light: 2 hours
Medium: 4 hours
Dark: 6 hours (Do not leave it on longer)
Lukewarm water only—no soap! Rinse quickly and evenly until the water runs clear.
The next day, you can shower with soap as usual.
Maintaining Your Glow:
Hydrate Your Skin: Moisturize morning and night to prolong your tan and prevent patchiness.
Choose the Right Products: Use gel-textured, fragrance-free soaps and lotions. Avoid Dove soap—instead, opt for Native, Aveeno, or Johnson & Johnson.
Exfoliate Wisely: Avoid exfoliating until your tan starts to fade. Once it does, use a loofah to gently blend textured areas (like the neck and chest), while avoiding premature scrubbing on the rest of your body.
Vacation Tip: Bring a loofah to help maintain an even fade. Minimize time in water, excessive sweating, and sun exposure to keep your tan lasting longer.
Moisturizer is your best friend—oil is the enemy! Avoid body oils, as they can break down your tan faster.
